Dengan demikian tongkat komando Kapolres Situbondo berpindah dari AKBP Imam Rifai kepada pejabat baru AKBP Andi Sinjaya yang sebelumnya menjabat Kapolres Enrekang Polda Sulsel.
Sedangkan AKBP Imam rifai resmi alih tugas menempati jabatan baru Kapolres Sleman Polda DIY setelah menjabat selama 17 bulan di polres situbondo.
“Saya mengucapkan terimakasih kepada semua jajaran Polres Situbondo, selama 17 bulan telah didukung dalam melaksanakan tugas. Saya dan keluarga mohon dimaafkan jika ada yang tidak berkenan selama bertugas di Polres Situbondo,” ujar AKBP Imam Rifai.
Pada acara yang sama, AKBP Andi Sinjaya mohon dukungan di hadapan para pejabat utama dan anggota Polres Situbondo selama mengemban amanah di Situbondo.
“Saya mohon dukungan dari semua jajaran Polres Situbondo. Kepada Abang saya AKBP Imam Rifai, semoga makin sukses mengemban amanah di tempat yang baru,” kata AKBP Andi Sinjaya.
Setelah tradisi pedang pora selesai, dilakukan apel bersama dan pelepasan Kapolres yang lama. Prosesi pelepasan pun juga diiringi tabur bunga dan parade pedang pora oleh para perwira Polres Situbondo.
