“Faktanya tidak tahu datanya, itu ngambil kesimpulan umum hanya mengambil dari satu dua kasus,” ucap Hermawan.
Jika dalih penindakan sewenang-wenang kepolisian dalam melakukan penanganan Pandemi Covid-19, Hermawan menyebut, di Indonesia masih jauh lebih humanis dibandingkan aparat di Negara India.
“Suruh coba ke India lihat kalau polisi itu tak bertindak tegas, atau suruh mereka ketukaran Covid-19 dulu biar tahu bahayanya. Orang itu akan berbeda ngomong soal Covid-19 itu kalau dia sudah kena Covid,” tutur Hermawan.
Kepolisian India bersikap represif, kata Hermawan, lantaran jika dibiarkan potensi penularan virus corona akan semakin berbahaya. Sebab itu, jika polisi di Indonesia masih terbilang lebih humanis dalam melakukan tindak tegas terkait dengan penanganan Covid-19.
“Lalu apa ukuran represif itu, apakah orang lewat kemudian ditembakin. Pembubaran kerumunan ini kan jauh dari refresif, karena tujuan menyelamatkan orang yang dibubarkan itu tidak tewas karena Covid,” ujar Hermawan.
Bahkan disisi lain, Hermawan justru berpandangan, yang bersikap represif adalah pihak-pihak yang menyerang tanpa tahu situasi nyata kondisi negara disaat pandemi Covid-19 tanpa adanya dukungan data yang kuat.
“Bayangkan kalau dibiarkan, seperti India kita. Ini mau Lebaran, dan itu dibebankan kepada Negara, kok dibilang represif,” tutup Hermawan.
