Banyuwangi, seblang.com – Berawal dari kumpulan para pemain futsal kabupaten Banyuwangi sejak 2 Oktober 2019 lalu memiliki tim sepakbola putri yang dikenal dengan nama Banyuwangi Putri dan sudah bertanding 2 kali putaran di tingkat Provinsi Jawa Timur (Jatim) mengikuti Liga Pertiwi.
Menurut Puji Astuti, Salah seorang pembina Tim Banyuwangi Putri jumlah anggota tim sepakbola putri saat ini tercatat 69 pemain, mulai usia SMP, SMA sampai dengan Perguruan Tinggi (PT). “Marilah saatnya bersinergi dan bersatu untuk membangun sepakbola yang lebih baik dan maju. Hilangkan sikap mementingkan diri sendiri dan ego sektoral. Para pelatih harus berpikir mau dibawa kemana anak-anak ini,” jelas Puji melalui sambungan WhatApps (WA) Senin (3/05/2021).
Selanjutnya istri Camat Srono itu menuturkan tim sepakbola yang dibina memiliki pengalaman berlaga dalam kompetisi di tingkat provinsi Jatim. Pemain yang ada saat ini merupakan hasil seleksi yang dilakukan dalam menghadapi Liga Pertiwi maupun Pekan Olahraga Provinsi (Porprov) yang akan digelar pada tahun 2022 mendatang.
“Bahkan apabila Galanita digelar tim Banyuwangi Putri sudah siap dan target harus Juara dalam Galanita apapun,” tegas ibu dua anak tersebut.
