Banyuwangi, seblang.com – Diduga mabuk, pengemudi mobil Pick Up Mitsubishi T 120 SS Nopol P 9632 VA menabrak pengendara motor hingga tewas di dekat Polsek Srono Banyuwangi, Jumat (20/3).
Kanit Laka Lantas Polresta Banyuwangi Iptu Ardhi mengatakan, menurut keterangan saksi mata, mobil Pick Up yang dikendarai Tri Biliyanto (26) melaju dari arah selatan ke utara dengan kecepatan tinggi.
Setibanya di TKP, tersangka berniat mendahului Bus yang tengah menurunkan penumpang. Namun, tanpa disangka dalam waktu bersamaan ada sepeda motor Honda Beat DR 4656 CM yang dikendarai Rizka Apriyani (26), warga Desa Sraten, Kecamatan Cluring, berjalan dari utara menuju selatan.
“Karena jarak yang terlalu dekat, tersangka tidak bisa menghindar dan menabrak sepeda yang dikendarai korban,” kata Ardhi.
Nahasnya, akibat kecelakaan tersebut korban mengalami luka parah dan langsung meninggal dunia di TKP. Sedangkan mobil pick up tercebur di saluran air yang ada di selatan jalan.
“Diduga tersangka mengendarai kendaraannya dengan kondisi mabuk karena berbau alkohol,” ungkapnya.
Untuk kepentingan penanganan kasus lebih lanjut, petugas kepolisian mengamankan sepeda motor korban dan mobil pick up beserta pengemudinya. Sedangkan korban saat ini telah disemayamkan ke rumah duka
“Tersangka kami amankan di Mapolsek Srono untuk melakukan penyidikan lebih lanjut,” pungkasnya. (nur)
